JENNIFER LEIGH SAUER is a freelance photographer and digital video director/producer/editor. Her work can be found in national magazines, annual reports, on the web, in books and in films. Her work has been used widely for corporate campaigns, development purposes, and to influence legislation regionally and nationally.
In 2006, she was the first still photographer and the first woman to be awarded the Bay Area Press Photographers' First Place Prize in Video Journalism (for "Nurse Midwife in Malawi"). Her book, The Way to Tea: Your Adventure Guide to San Francisco Tea Culture was published in 2007. She also engages in public speaking and blogging about connoisseur tea and tea culture.
Prior to her emergence as a photographer in San Francisco, Jen lived and worked in Asia for four years, which inspired her personal and creative vision. Her work has since taken her to Africa, Asia, South America, Europe, and the North Pole. She currently lives in Mill Valley, California.
